Do you have a backup of before the upgrade? That is the way back, the only way really.

No there's no downgrade option. You would need to revert to a backup, or persevere with vB4.

If you let us know what is causing you problems in 4.1, it's possible we can help.

Also you might want to look at 4.2, which contains many improvements in both functionality and stability.

As stated earlier you cannot go back without restoring your earlier back up, sorry.

You should upgrade to the latest 4.2.x, there are tons of good styles and you can generate your own pretty easily.
To answer your question, you can convert your forum to another framework and then to 3.8 if you want, but I wouldn't since 3.8 is EOL as far as I'm concerned.

I would ask about this on www.vbulletin.org, the modifications site.

Loads of good styles over there, or there are people offering paid services who could provide a quote to convert your old one.

Well that can be taken care of with redirects, so I wouldn't say that's really an issue TBH unless it's a big site that's been around for years.

                          There isn't much to understand.
You can convert your vb4 forum to another framework, like IPB, then back to vbulletin 3.8 if you wish with impex.
