[Forum] Cannot edit posts on a newly installed 4.2 version

    I installed a new 4.2 version. http://46.137.243.25

Then, I changed the custom style.

And I imported a chinese language pack, ignoring the versions.

That's all. And now I found it's not possible to edit the forum posts.

    Here are the error messages:

    時間戳記: 2012/10/11 下午 03:13:28
錯誤: ReferenceError: CKEDITOR is not defined
    原始檔: http://46.137.243.25/clientscript/vb...tedit.js?v=420
    行: 11

I've read several posts here but still no idea what to do.

    Please help me.

To troubleshoot this, first download a fresh copy of the vBulletin ZIP file from the Members Area then reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all Products except the vBulletin Blog and vBulletin CMS (Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable) AND uncheck all the plugins except those related to the vBulletin Blog and vBulletin CMS by (Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager). You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

Do you have the same problem?

I've done all the instructions except for the xml part.

But the problem remains the same.

      While enter this page http://46.137.243.25/showthread.php?2-test-edit
      there is javascript error.

And after click Edit Post, I can edit the post, but cannot click save button.

      What's the problem?

Set it to English and use a totally default style - do you still get the same problem then?

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Yes. Only English now. And default style.

          The problem remains the same.

The problem remains with the English forum and a totally default style and totally default files? If so, leave the forum in that condition and put in a support ticket so we can take a look at the problem.
