  • [Forum] Product creation

    Hi

    Using the inbuilt method of creeating a 'product', how does one go about creating the '<helptopic> sections? There does not seem to be any way to do so.

    You need to be in debug mode to edit adminhelp entries and assign them to your product. You should visit www.vbulletin.org for help with creating addon products.

      Hi Wayne

      Thanks, that is news regarding the debug mode.

      I have been searching over at vb org for a good while, I am obviously not using the correct search terms e.g. 'creating a product', 'helptopic', 'adding help topics' etc., I have also been through the online manual regardingf same but it stops short of that subject which seems to be somewhat on the secrets list.

          Hi zascok

          Many thanks but I don't believe that is it. I am talking of what would be in the product_xxx.xml file under "<helptopics>" and shows up as a help screen within the AdminCP:

          Code:
          ...
                  </plugin>

              </plugins>
          	<phrases>
          	</phrases>
          	<options>
          	</options>
          	<helptopics>
          	</helptopics>
          	<cronentries>
          	</cronentries>
          	<faqentries>
          	</faqentries>
          	<navigation>
          	</navigation>
          </product>

            You should always be in debug mode to create products...

                  Add this to config.php to enter into debug mode:

                  Code:
                  $config['Misc']['debug'] = true;

                    I found this product on vb.org to allow selective debug mode from the admincp, seems to be working fine in 4.2.0

                    widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
