[Forum] Can't undo an edit in a notice

    Ok here's the situation:
I edited the "default_guest_message" in the Notices manager. I simply changed the wording of the text in this notice. There are no conditions on viewing this notice, so that it shows all the time. My changes show in the forums as expected.
However, I saw a typo error in my edited text, so I went back in to the Notices Manager and re-edited my text to correct my typo. PROBLEM: Even though I edied teh text to correct the typo, the typo persists. Now, before I resorted to asking this question here, I have already tried the following:

    1. I tried "Clear System Cache" in the CP >> Maintenance area
    2. I cleared the cache on my browser (I even tried a different browser)
    3. I tried making the notice inactive, refreshed my browser and then set it active again.

Seems no matter what I try, I can't get the most recent changes in the notice text to display correctly. It continues to show the text with the typo in it. Any ideas? This is driving me crazy!

Try adding a new notice with the correct text, use it instead, and either deactivate or delete the older one.
To be or not to be... Where the hell is the question????
My psychiatrist told me I was crazy and I said I want a second opinion. He said okay, you're ugly too

I'll do that as a last resort, but I'd still like to know why my edits don't take. Seems like some sort of cache issue, but as I said, I tried clearing the system cache as well as my browser, and even trying a different browser. Is this possibly a bug?

No, I don't think it's a bug. It is cache issue and even with the steps you took, it sounds like it wasn't cleard. Leave that notice and try from a different PC or Mobile and see what happens.

Solved! It was a cache issue.
