Uninstalling products fails with DB error

hi i`ve got the above problem that is on this link http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-15165 when uninstalling products i`ve had no progress with ticket support for over 2 days now so could the member of staff that fixed this issue for who posted the problem on the above link please contact me as i need this fixing asap

I've taken a look at your ticket and it was assigned to another staff member for review, please be patient and allow him time to review and reply accordingly.

Edit: I've also hidden your comment in tracker, only discussions on the issue not time spent should be posted respectively.

It is a known bug that is resolved in the next release. Until then you would need to disable addons instead of uninstalling them. Once disabled, they will no longer be active. Once 4.2.1 is released, then you can delete them if you wish.

for software i just paid £146 for i dont expect major bugs like this to be honest i need some of the products removing asap for reasons i`ve mentioned in the ticket,sorry but waiting untill when ever 4.2.1 is released just aint a option mate

and as 4.2.1 aint being released untill after vb5 then my ticket support will be run out by then so if the issue is`nt fixed on my forum then what ? cuz i dont see why i should then pay $80 to get ticket support to fix a issue that was there when i brought vb4

Unfortunately, we cannot make code changes for you. This requires code changes. Nor can we apply unreleased and potentially untested fixes to your site. We recommend that you not uninstall the CMS. It will just get reinstalled the next time you upgrade anyway and that can potentially cause more problems down the road.

As such until this bug is fixed then you should use the workaround of disabling the products. If you don't want to purchase Ticket Support, you can continue to use forum support which is actually handled by the same people. I am sorry that you experienced this issue and if there was a better fix available now, I'd give it to you. Otherwise follow up in the ticket and have the techs remove the addons via brute force in the database.

I had the same problem trying to uninstall CMS. It broke the entire installation with DB errors. Fortunately I did it on a test server. Wow, if that's a known error it should be announced in the AdminCP. I could have broken my live installation.

Zachery must of fixed it on mine in the end as it now lets me uninstall products

All I did was fully uninstall your cms. I suspect this was caused by not purging your plugin cache which I should have done.

Regardless, bugs happen, not a whole lot you can do about it. It does not cause a serious threat.
