  • [Forum] Double Reply. Why?

Good morning. I have a question for you. I upgraded my site to the latest release of vBulletin 4.2.0 and I have a problem with the reply that my users.

Sometimes the message is duplicated in the post answer. example:

    Hello how are you
    Hello how are you

It could be the integrated system of prevention of double post? I have now disabled. Time will tell me if it works. Meanwhile, I ask you if you know this problem.

On this site(vB)and on my site it's not happening.
Some of your addons could cause it.

vB5 is unequivocally the best forum software, but not yet...

Try what happens when you disable "prefix cliccable".

I'm experiencing the same issue in our forum (replies are duplicated and triplicated sometimes). It looks like it usually comes with a message of "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?"
Searching this forum for a possible solution, I found many threads reporting the same problem... (eve a bug report that was closed 2 years ago, because they couldn't replicate the issue...).

I don't have any add-ons, and use default style...
It just happens sometimes, but it's a problem. I have Quick reply activated, and also double posting prevention activated. It looks like most the people experiencing this problem are using those two options together in their forums... may be a bug?

I have encountered a similar problem with bad internet connections. Do you have problems with your internet connection (long load times, etc).

              Nop...
It doesn't happen to me, it happens to my users, and not always... (I tried to replicate the problem myself, but never happened when I post).
We have a dedicated server, and the load average is pretty low (usually below 0.3)... so I discard also that it could be a problem of overloading.

Anyway, why are the messages posted twice (or three times)? and why is that message of "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page" appearing when some of them use the Quick Reply? (I mean, none of those things should happen, even with slow connections, am I right?)

This is happening on my site as well and not just with me but all my members are complaining about it. I tried this fix yesterday but it had no effect:

                For anyone having the problem,
                Please trying the following code
Find this in the headinclude template:

                forum : "{vb:raw vboptions.vbforum_url}",

                Change it too

                forum : "<vb:if condition="$vboptions[vbforum_url]">{vb:raw vboptions.vbforum_url}<vb:else />{vb:raw vboptions.bburl}</vb:if>",

Let me know if that fixes it.

It's not happening to me now but has happened something similar, earlier with vB 3.x, with my previous host.
