I found the answer to this problem. It seems the way editing inline images was changed but the change wasn't mentioned in one of the updates.

To open the inline image edit settings window, before you would hover over an image and an edit icon would appear in the corner which youh you could click to open the image settings popup window to adjust position, size, and information about an image. However, I finally discovered this has been changed and you now have to double click an image to open the image editing window.

Was this change ever mentioned or documented anywhere? I find it odd that an visual clues to being able to edit an inline image have been removed in favour of randomly discovering you can double click an image to edit it.

Before upgrading to vB4.2, when adding an image inline, once the image was added to the post you could then get a little edit icon when hovering over the image to open a popup and adjust things like inline image size and position within the post. Since updating to 4.2 this functionality seems to be completely missing and you have no control over the image being placed in the post (other than the settings fixed from the admincp).

Has the inline image editing functionality been removed in 4.2? Or is it an option something that needs switching on?

I was initially wondering if I had a plugin conflict, but turned all plugins off and it was still the same. I also tried testing added an image on here and the same thing happens. Small thumbnail of image appears with no control over editing its size or position.
