[Forum] Which template should I alter?

I've been scratching my head all day trying to work out which template controls the +POST NEW THREAD colours. I've tried working through my altered templates but to no avail.

Also the links at the top of the page under the FORUM - WHAT'S NEW also need altering.

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

That's because it's a variable, not a template.

Go to the Style Variable Editor for the style you want to edit and edit the variables under the Buttons category to your liking.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I went to the style I'm trying to alter. Selected Style Variable Editor but the only Buttons I can find relate to the Editor editor_button etc and button_control_border. These don't seem to change the button links. Can you help?

Can you take a screenshot of what you want to change?

This shows the screen. Across the top the links don't show except the right ones when you hover over them. The lower image has the writing in the same colour as the background except when you hover over it.

It appears you changed your:

Variable
Global --> link color

Thats going to effect lots of things, you would be better adding a css call in additional.css to over ride the button link color, should be a color change for:

.newcontent_textcontrol

No need for custom CSS. Just change these variables to your liking:

• control_background
  
• control_color
  
• control_content_background
  
• control_content_color
  
• control_content_hover_background
  
• control_content_hover_color
  
• control_content_shadow_color
  
• control_hover_background
  
• control_hover_color

Yea, sorry about that Robinantill, Amaury is right, i misread the css on the custom skin i was chking it on.

Hi, I found my problem which was separate from vBulletin. i was trying to get my forum board to match up with my main site and I added in the style sheet from my main site, which had the layout styles, in it. However, also in this style sheet there were styles with the same names as the forum style sheet and this caused the problem.
