  • [Forum] Exclude From Doble Post Merges - what is this?

In the Forum Manager there is an option under "Posting Options" titled Exclude From Double Post Merges. the "?" help icon just says "Determines if this forum is excluded from the Double Post merging feature." but the Docs don't say anything about it (that I could find). Can someone please explain to me what is meant by "Double Post Merges?" Sorry to ask such dumb questions, but still very new to vB.

    Simple way to see it

Post a reply here after me, save it. then post another reply here and you will see the double post merge

Ok, I get it. That's the kind of little thing that should be explain a bit better in the Docs IMHO. Thanks for the explanation. I found where I can set that feature's settings and I see I can exclude individual forums from doing this merge too.

By the way, what is the time limit on this forum for not merging replies?

                Timestamps are updated iirc.

Hmm... I'd rather they put a time stamp in that "---Updated---" line. Is that an option?

You'll need to head over to vBulletin.org Forum for that.

I believe there is an option for that.

Looks like you can put in custom text. Can you put code in there to generate the time stamp? Anyone know what that is?
