[Forum] Can't View Private Forum?

I set up a forum on my board that I want to remain private except for those I allow to see it.

I set the forum as not viewable via the forum manager (have tried both viewable and non viewable and neither help).

I created a new usergroup and added 5 members to it as a secondary group.

I edited the usergroups permissions.

I went in to forum permissions and edited the usergroup under the forum I wanted and set it all to viewable.

None of that made a difference, they still couldn't see the forum.

I went into each individual profile and edited the access masks to allow them to view the profile, setting it to "Yes".

They still can't see the forum.

Where am I going wrong?

Are you, as an administrator, able to see the forum?

Yes I can see it on the board, I've given the users the link to the board and this is enabling them to view it, but they cannot see it on the forum home page.

I am not sure what the cause of that would be. Do you mind opening a support ticket both with an admin login and a test user with the same permissions that are having the problems?

What do you have set for the following option?

AdminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Forum Listings Display Options -> Show Private Forums

Dustin, that setting only changes the ability to see a forum you cannot see. It wouldn't change anything else.

You didn't misunderstand, that's the problem I have, users who I want to see it can't see the forum. It's currently set to "No" but even if I set it to yes they can't see it either way. Will open a ticket, thanks.
