  • [CMS] Why are the sections not appearing on the Home Page?

    New to vB 4

I set up a few sections and sub-sections.

When I click on articles, all I see is "Home" and the test article in that section

    http://vb4test.askaboutmoney.com/content.php

I would expect to see the sections on the Left Hand side as in vBulletin's own layout.

I don't really mind where they appear, as long as they appear.

Is there a default Layout button which I have not enabled?

In general, is there a simple "Quick Start" article that deals with the main how to issues?

Have you added the section navigation widget to your layout? You need to do this in order for the sections to appear.

AdminCP -> vBulletin CMS -> Layouts.

      Hi Wayne

Thanks for that. Got it now

It's not remotely intuitive - although most people seem to have figured it out for themselves.

It would be a good topic for a "quick start" guide

If you install the default data which has the quick start guides as part of it and shows the section navigation.
