Hi I am upgrading the site from VB 3.8 to 4.2
I do not know much about the process, but are 301 redirects done automatically via php ?
or does something need to be added to a .htaccess file? ( also where am i meant to find such a .htaccess)

My Forum used to be in a folder above the root, titled "forum". THe homepage was using vb_advanced...
Now I wish to upgrade to vb4, so I would put the vb4 files in folder "forum" and move the CMS component to the root by using a stub? Using Mod Rewrite, this gives urls like: "forum/forums.." how bad is that for SEO? :/
