[Forum] Implementing a 30 day free trial for 4.1.12

Hi guys,

We're using this version (4.1.12) and would like to implement a 30-day free trial to our forum. So we are wondering if it's the same technique as the 3.8 instruction/tutorial below that was written in 2006. Has there been any changes/updates to how to implement it? Sorry if the answer is already posted somewhere else, but I couldn't find it in the search outside of the "locked" Tips instructions below. Thanks for any help and advice in advance !

Everything is correct in that post HOWEVER when adding in the notices in the section titled "Extra - notify users of status" you should use the Notification Manager in vB4, then you can easily define what usergroups to show the message to without the need for adding in code such as <if condition="$bbuserinfo['usergroupid'] == X">
