[Forum] Problem with navbar dropdown links

if I change the navbar tab background, it also changes the colour of the hover background of the dropdown links (Community, Forum Actions and Quicklinks)

How do we get these different please?

That makes no sense. If Hakou had done that and got a solution, then I would be none the wiser. If someone finds an answer and posts it in this thread, we both get the benefit.

You would need to write some custom CSS to do this. Something like:
.navtabs li.selected li:hover a.popupctrl {background: pink;}

But I wonder why we have to do something like this, surely it isn't intentional that changing the navbar tab background would also change something completely different?

I think the assumption was that users would be using the same complimentary colors right next to each other.

Which was exactly what the original post was about. (they said nothing about borders or the active status)

If you want to deal with borders and the active status, you'd have to add more:

.navtabs li.selected li:hover a.popupctrl.active, .navtabs li.selected li a.popupctrl.active {background-color: pink; border-color: pink;}.navtabs .popupbody, .navtabs .popupbody li {border-color: pink; background-color: pink;}
