[Forum] Breadcrumb trail returning "blank" page content for 1 forum

Hi,

Spotted this one and while we've added a short term work around, I wanted to ask in case anyone else has had this happen.

We have different forums and child forums and a typical breadcrumb trail looks like this:
Forum >Electronics & Technology > Phones, PMPs & Media Devices >General Mobile Device Thread


This breadcrumb trail works in all but one forum, in our Games forum when I click to return to Games, I am shown the web page, but no child forums just white space.
Forum > Games > Gaming General > Orcs Must Die 2, release date

Our temporary fix was to rename the forum to Games_ while we're working out what's happened. We can't find any duplicate forums that could cause a conflict so I'd wondered if anyone else had experienced this with a forum?

Thanks Trevor, here's one from a thread in the games forum that I used as an example, it's working now with the underscore but wasn't when it was just named Games

Firstly, I see you're using vBSEO - do you have the same problem if you disable vBSEO via it's own Control Panel in AdminCP and rename it's .htaccess temporarily?

Also, if you're getting a blank page, there should be an error written to the server's error logs. Did you check there to see what specifically is wrong?

Our first thought was that it could be vBSEO so we did disable and and rename but it didn't work.
Thanks for the pointer on the error logs, I can't see the error but I'll get it double checked at this side and come back.

We couldn't see anything specific in the error logs. The breadcrumb trail works when we call it any other name (even "Game") but not when we call it "Games". For now we've renamed it and if we work out what's causing this I'll come back and post.

If it's returning a blank page, there should definitely be something in the server logs. You may need to refresh the page then immediately download a fresh log to be sure you're looking in the right place within the logs. (If the site is busy at the time of the error it can get lost easily).

Hi Mark! I've tried again a few times but I'm not getting any errors.

So in Admin>Forum Manager I've renamed the forum, in the front end have clicked to enter "Games" while noting the time, and then checked the error messages in CPanel.

So far I've renamed the forum to:
"Games" - I get the address bar and a white page but no errors showing in the cPanel log.
"Game" - no error and the forum displays
"Tames" - no error and the forum displays

Today I was testing between 05:21 and 05:24 but in the error log entries below, it's just picking up missing country flags.

I'm a beginner so it's highly likely that I'm looking in the wrong place for the error logs, but it does seem to be that we've previously set something up with the word "Games" which is now causing this white screen to happen.
