[Forum] Subforum Display Alternatives?

Hi all -

Are there alternate options for displaying subforums on the 2nd level down? I mean visually. For example:

I have always hated how much space they take up. It pushes the general discussion way down when in fact the general discussion should be the most prominent thing on the page.

Not the subforums.

I am wondering if vBulletin has alternate display options on THIS page (above) for how the subforums are displayed?

I suppose the only other alternative would be to go in and modify the style, create new styles for these, and make them less imposing.

There is no option to change the display however you can certainly edit the templates to show these differently.

Thank you. A "Minimal" display would be a fun / cool / nice option in the future. Maybe without descriptions and the vertical height of each module at the top is reduced significantly. We will do that manually.
