4.2 is a good version in my opinion, why wait you can upgrade now but again, ensure the site is fully functional in the current version attachments included before you upgrade .

Thanks for the wisdom. I got everything running (almost) on URLJet, but am hitting what I think is the "503" bug on trying to view "What's New" - which is why I had the idea of upgrading. Sounds like I'll wait until 4.2.1 or so is released.

Do not upgrade until this is resolved, by upgrading your simply asking for "trouble" and to be perfectly honest.. you should not upgrade from 4.0.8 to 4.1.9 if anything it should be 4.2.0 unless something is preventing you from doing so.

It is possible for URLJet to do a Cpanel to cPanel transfer of well everything IF Dreamhost had cpanel so be sure to ask if so then speak w/ Greg over at URLJet, Tell him TheLastSuperman/Mike told you to bug him he'll get a kick out of that lol .

  • Upgrading from 4.0.8 to 4.1.9, without images/attachments?

    Hello all,

Due to the craptastic job Dreamhost is doing bringing their servers back up. I have ventured out and moved our forum to URLJet. However, I was "only" able to dump the SQL db - but am not able to get at the images/attachments right now until they fix their server. (I was storing all my images on the filesystem.)

My question is, if I upgrade from 4.0.8 to 4.1.9 without images- is this going to be a problem when I am able to get at the images later? I'm asking because I don't know if there is a big difference like there was from 3.x to 4.x.
