[CMS] Wanting to remove the version number from the footer

Hi All,

Just wondering if there is an easy way to remove the version number from the footer?

I couldn't see anything obvious, although I am fairly new to vb, so any help would be great.

Check the 'powered_by_vbulletin' phrase for any translations. That phrase should read:

Powered by <a href="http://www.vbulletin.com" id="vbulletinlink">vBulletin&trade;</a> Version {1} <br />Copyright &copy; {2} vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved.

If you do not want to show the version number, you can remove the Version {1}:

Powered by <a href="http://www.vbulletin.com" id="vbulletinlink">vBulletin&trade;</a> <br />Copyright &copy; {2} vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved.

after your reply I found the following explaining the procedure.

AdminCP > LAnguage & Phrases > Phrase Manager > Search in phrases

Search by phrase varible name only, search for powered_by_vbulletin

Copy the default translation, remove the bits you don't want (the verison number text) and save.

Not sure if this is the place for it, but perhaps the version number display should be an option in the AdminCP?
