  • [Forum] Adding link to navbar?

    I've searched, but haven't found specifically what I'm looking for.

    Once logged in to my board (4.1.12), I have a row of links across my navbar as such:

    New posts - Private messages - Faq - Calendar - Community - Forum actions - Quick links - XXXX

    Where the XXX's are, I would like to add an additional link, but can't figure it out. I found a few directions for where the "Forum - What's new" tabs are, but I want it on the bar beneath that. It was very easy in the 3 series, but now I'm lost! LOL

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

    -Jim

    You need to edit the navbar template and add the HTML for your link to the template.

    Styles & Languages -> Style Manager.

    Click the '' button for your style.

    Scroll down to Navigation and Breadcrumb Templates. Double click on it.

    Double click on navbar to edit the HTML there. Look for {vb:raw template_hook.navbar_community_menu_end} and put your link before it.

          Move the location of your code as Loco.M said. That is just one location. You can put your code anywhere within that tree. It will be much easier to do this in 4.2.

            Thank you for your support. Since I am not at all familiar with these codes I just saw {vb:raw template_hook.navbar_community_menu_end} </ul>
            </li>

            An figured ...had to go there...save and reload and works....thank you again.

            If I wanted it as a tab in the navbar at the end of all tabs...where this link would go?
