  • [Forum] Users can't change timezone in UserCP

Just like in the title. I've got problem with timezone.
I've got GMT +2 on my forum. Everything is OK until users want to change their timezone.

When they are trying to change they timezone for example to timezoneoffeset +1 in userCP
this setting is set to 0 in databases.

No matter what timezone I'm trying to change in userCP - I have always timezoneoffeset = 0

Do you have an idea what should I have to check?

Maybe this is vb 4.1.11 bug?

Changing the timezone works just fine on my default vb4.1.11 installation. Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php

    PHP Code:
    define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

I have the same problem, I tried to disable all the programs plugin but the problem remains, though by AdminCP change the timezone of the user is placed in the selected user profile, but if the use rwants to change fromUserCP,i talways comes back to GMT = 0
By selecting any userPC always sets timezonetimezone =0 ! :-(
      I use Vbulletin 4.2

Yes. I've got the same problem with 4.2.
I've go one idea. I need to check it.

Do you use suhosin with php? Maybe suhosin is blocking something. I'll check it in a few days.

Check your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host) and see if anything is there when you try to change the timezone.

Also, create a new style with no parent:
          • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
          • Parent Style: No Parent Style
          • Title: Default vBulletin
          • Allow User Selection: Yes
          • Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style and try to change the time zone - do you still have the same problem?

Problem still exists. I'm using the newest version.

            Here's list what I've checked:
            - I turned off XCache, Suhosin (didn't change anything)
            - I've created new Default style like you said. The same problem on default style.
            - I've checked suspicious files (files are OK)
            - I've cleared my all cookies. Login to vbulletin - the same.

I've also check my logs. No errors in error_log. No suhosin warnings (even when it is turned on)

Did you disable all your plugins also? And disable vbseo completely via their user control panel and by removing the .htaccess? How about switching to the default english language?

Yes. I don't have many plugins. Just two for images. I don't use VBSeo.

I didn't try switching to English. I saw that correct "id" is send in POST.

How do you know the correct id is getting passed? And can you try this using the default english language please.

I checked it using Chrome Developer tools and Firebug in Firefox. You can debug what values are sent.

English, default theme - the same error.

I would put in a ticket if you have ticket support.

So you are probably on your own.
Support ticket, giving ftp to vbulletin stuff didn't help.

Problem is, as far as we can tell, the data is being sent. Its not being updated/saved. We're not sure why. AT this point its best to open a bug report on the subject. Though I'm not sure due to the limited number of people how soon it would be fixed.
