I should have posted this different. I don't want any .php anything on my homepage url I just want http://www.imakemoneyeasy.com this is the url that I advertise with and my forum is on the root domain when a visitor clicks my link they are sent to my domain with no trailing .php

If they click the logo to go back to the homepage they get http://www.imakemoneyeasy.com/forum.php why is that? And How can I stop any .php from being in my url?
You can get around this with an .htaccess rewrite to rewrite forum.php to /. Your hosting provider can help you set this up.

It doesn't matter of the exact forum url (i.e. /something.php). All that matters is they type in your domain and get directed to your forum.

Open your AdminCP. Go to Settings -> Options -> Forum Home Page Options -> Script Name for Forum Home Page. Change it from forum to index.

You need to install vBulletin into the root directory of your homepage url. In other words, do not make a folder named "forum" unless that is where you want it to go...
