Isn't it the MySQL server causing problems ?

That's what I assume it could be. But how would I go about and fix this?

If you're technical email is filled out in the config.php file, you should get an email with the database error. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell you how to resolve the issue without seeing what the error is.

Table is marked as crashed and should be repaired. Since it is the user table, you'll need to repair it in phpMyAdmin or contact your hosting provider.
