Making "What's New?" Still Work for Unregistered when Search is Disabled for them?
Apologies if this has been answered before, I couldn't find anything previously.
To save on some of our site resources I recently made the site search function available to logged-in users only. However in doing so the "What's New?" tab/function also stops working for those not logged-in (since it's based on search).
Is there a way that the "What's New?" tab can be specifically excluded from this (i.e. that non-logged-in users can still use that button, but not make actual site searches)?
Unfortunately they are linked. Best thing you can do is leave search on but make guests solve a capcha every time they do a proper search (not what's new)
When I search certain items on my site, I get no results, even though I know they're there. For example, FBU. Shows no results, even though...
