  • vBulletin files and folders list

    Hello,

I've to move my vBulletin files from the root to the folder /forum. In the root I've many files, and I think that some of them aren't linked to vBulletin but to the hosting system. Is it possible to have the list of all files linked to vBulletin? I mean, the list of files and folder I've to move in the /forum directory.
I've contacted the hosting asking them which files are necessary for the hosting, but they told me to contact you...

    Thank you.

If you download and unzip a default set of files from the members area, you can compare that to what you have on your server.

Thank you guys, this is helping!
        I've a question about 3 paritcular files:
        php-cgi.core (177mb)
        .htaccess
        error_log
        And a folder:
        /cgi-bin files: cgiecho cgiemail entrophybanner.cgi randhtml.cgi

These files aren't listed when I do the "diagnostic > suspect file versions", but I can't find them in the package I've just downloaded from the members area. What should I do with these files?

.htaccess is a file that deals with redirects and other commands, depending on its contents you may need to move it to the new location and or create a new one in the new location, error logs is self explanitory leave it cgi bin is usually a default server folder not normally associated wit VB. php-cgi.core not sure about that, nothing to do with VB.

php-cgi.core is created when PHP segfaults when running a CGI call. It contains the contents of PHP's memory when it crashed. It isn't part of vBulletin and you can probably safely delete it.
