VBulletin 4.1.0 and PCRE 8.21 : bug

I have the same issue... The host says its to do with VB and VB says its PCRE....

Not fun at all!!!

Is there a way around this until one of the two cleans up the bug?

Yep.. Use PCRE 8.2.0

Ask them to move you to another server that hasn't been upgrade yet.

All have the latest version of PCRE now so that's not an option for them they say.

Unfortunately since it is confirmed as a Bug in the 8.2.1 version of PCRE by the makers of the PCRE library, this isn't really a bug we can fix for you. You would have to switch a host that has an environment you can operate in. Not an ideal situation but the only solution I can put forth that would have you up and running again as soon as possible.

My host has now downgraded to 8.2.0 and the problem still exists!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or change contents of pcre_compile.c manually, like I did.
