  • [Forum] How do I make all new posts subject to moderation

    Hi,

I have VB4.1.7 and want to make all new posts subject to moderation. I have hunted around the admincp for ages but can't find where to do it.

Have just started getting some spam posts so want to moderate all new posts.

    Thanks,
    Dale.

AdminCP > usergroups > usergroup manager > Choose a group > post/thread permissions > follow forum moderation rules > no.

Yes, you need to set it to "no". Someone thought that was logical.

      Thanks for that.

I just did a test post as a user rather than admin and the user doesn't get a message that their post has to be moderated. Is there any way to tell them that their post is awaiting moderation?

Also is there a way to email them and let them know once their post has been approved?

      Dale.

Yeah, Andy's right on. You don't want to spend your time moderating posts. You need to stop them at the gate.
