[Forum] Language does not exist

Some of my clients are getting this error:
Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in [path]\includes\functions.php on line 1604
I only have the English language installed , with some text translated into afrikaans.

Please assist.

Another user reported this problem:
When he tried to change his password, did he get this error:
Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in [path]\includes\functions.php on line 1604

Is there anyone who can assist me on this. Do I need to reload the language maybe?
All this is on version 4.1.7

Can you try re-downloading the ZIP file from the Members Area and re-upload all files (except install/install.php and includes/config.php.new) making sure you overwrite all files currently on your server then re-run the upgrade script to re-import the default XML files into your database.

Does this resolve the problem?
