[Forum] trouble stopping new bot registrations

I've had my vB forum up and running for almost two years now.

I use the question/answer human verification option that I change every 3 months.

I do not use captcha.

Recently, we have been getting hit with a wave of bot registrations from eastern europe that seem to be able to answer every question/answer that i set.

Can you guys point me in a better direction to curb this. Maybe PM or post some of your effective question/answers or tips.

Try to use questions with deliberately misspelling (with errors). A native speaker can easily cope with them, bots (or people who use online translators) - no.
