  • Issues all over new site

    Hey everyone,

I was away for a long time, had taken down my site for numerous reasons, ETC

I decided to put my site back up after requests from my users.
The install seemed to go well, version 4.2.2 that I downloaded from the site, no hickups that I saw.

Now, when trying to add attachments to posts, people can not upload images or link to images on the web
If I try to add addons / hacks from vbulletin.org it hangs during the install once you hit import
I get errors intermittantly when posting but they are random.

so, I am thinking either I try to do a reinstall/repair and cross my fingers
    or
Just wipe the site and database and reinstall fresh.

The fresh install is probably best but do you think the reinstall / upgrade would work?

My PHP and MySQL versions are

    php 5.2.17
    mySQL 5.1.68

I double checked the requirements in the members area and this should be just fine

    I found this
    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...n-issues-4-2-2
and it explains some of the errors I am getting but there are alot more so I think it is still a safe bet to do the reinstall

      Try this first:

Add the following line to your config.php under the <?php line:
      PHP Code:
      define('SKIP_ALL_ERRORS'true);

Interesting, changing the php code from the one I linked above seems to have fixed all of my actual errors, Thank you very much for that

Still having a problem with one of my styles not showing images, header, footer, ETC
If you have any ideas on this I'd greatly appreciate it

Here is a link to the style

Here is a link to the default style to get back
        http://www.diablosanctuary.com/forum....php?styleid=3
Here is a link to the header for example that is not showing up, but you can see it in the style variable editor

Also note the Style Changer is not showing up even though it is enabled

It doesn't actually fix the errors. It makes the error handler behave like older versions of vBulletin so non-critical errors are just ignored.

OK, Strange, but, now I can at least post images. LOL

Any thoughts on the style issue?
I contacted the programmer who helped me create this style but no answer yet

You will need to wait for the style author to assist for anything more than that, we can't really provide support for custom styles.

However, what I can see is that your custom style is looking for this:
              images/styles/diablo3/logo.png

Which is actually showing, but it's not easy to see.

Yeah, it shows the logo but dim because the header is not showing
                http://www.diablosanctuary.com/forum...d3_header1.jpg
Once it shows up the logo looks good.
Also the footer images are missing.

Yeah, I kinda figured i'd have to wait but thought, cant hurt to ask.

                Thank you very much

Weird, its right in the stylevar "Header Background" but from your NetworkError it is being called from somewhere else.
Must figure out, thank you again

OK, So, I manually changed to header background image to a full static and it did not work, i changed it back to what it was and now it works.
So, I need to do this with every image, yeah.
Now I just have to find the var that has the other images.

                      strange but Thank you
