  • [Forum] A lot of "vBulletin Database Error!" mail

With my vBulletin forum I get a lot of vBulletin Database Error! email.
The query is all the time:
    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT *
    FROM forumvb_style
    WHERE (styleid = 8 AND userselect = 1)
    OR styleid = 8
    ORDER BY styleid ASC
    LIMIT 1;

    The error is:

MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away
    Error Number : 2006

And the script is the most of the time an attached file (but sometimes) maybe also a page.

My wait_timeout in mysql settings is set to 15.

    Thank you

Your MySQL server is under more load than it can handle. Are you on a shared server?

No, I've my own housed server.
This is my mysql request. It's lower than before and my server load is very low.

I have a lot of connection to my mysql database.
          Which value do you suggest?
I was using 120 before 15 but I had the same problem.

I believe George says to start it at 60 and increase by 60 as needed. My site has it set to 480 or so.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Does make sense that the mysql query is the same everytime?
              Why not another query?

I don't know why it is always the same query.
