[Forum] Go to first new post

Go to first new post takes me to the top of the page that has the new post but doesn't take me directly to the new post. It does display the "View first unread" link at the top of the page.

Using Firefox and 4.1.7 PL2

Is this happening here on vBulletin.com or only on your own forum?

If it's your forum please try with the default style- the most likely cause is a custom style is missing the anchor tags- have seen this before.

Hey thanks. I have tried default style with all plugins and products disabled. Yes my own forum

What is your Friendly URL setting? Are you using the forum in a sub-directory using the Stub folders from the do_not_upload folder of the ZIP file?

Friendly URL is set to basic and yes I'm using the forum in a sub dir using the forum folder from the do not upload.

I just upgraded from 4.1.3. I used to have the cms root and forum directory setup as was suggested for 4.0.X until this upgrade where I switched all the vb files to root and am using the stub directory for forum. I used cpanel to move the files. Maybe I should try to re-upload and overwrite?

I was happy to see 4.1.8 out so I upgraded. Still having the same problem, go to first new post does not work!

I believe you're issue is using the forum componet url to move your forums into the forums directory, instead of moving the cms, into the root directory.
