    You can do this yourself by adding .htaccess password protection to the admincp folder.

    They were created prior to the removal, or there is additional exploit coding still around, causing the ability for a secondary backdoor.

    Same here. I even had the install directory deleted long ago. There were two ids that were created on my forum but both were "admin" and I removed the e-mail addresses and changed password and also banned the ids.

    How was it possible to create two ids with the same name? Infact three if you count mine as well. So my admin id is "Admin" and the two that were created were both "admin"

    I am using 4.2.1 and I do not have the install directory either.

    a new member signed up today on my forum and it was in the admin group, how did this happen????
    i changed the user group and banned? but that seemed to be easy? can someone tell me how could this happen?
