[Forum] Can't Access vB4 Bug in JIRA -- Why?

I'm trying to get an update on the vB4 issue #15541 in JIRA but it is not allowing my account access. I see an error page stating PERMISSION VIOLATION.

It's marked as private...this has long been the practice on the vB4 project for bugs that were being worked on, or were soon to be.

Thanks for responding. I realize that's how it has always been done. With all due respect, that's not a satisfactory answer. After reading a lot of your posts on this forum, I am disappointed that you just responded with "well that's just the way it is" without any further reasoning or explanation.

I want to know why it is being hidden from licensed members. Is there a reason? We can't monitor the progress of bugs or add to the discussion in JIRA? Why are we always encouraged to participate in JIRA if we have an issue with the software if certain bugs are going to be hidden from licensed members.

There is no update, that is just how it works I'm afraid. It's a decision that was taken by the relevant project teams.
