[Forum] Forum URL forwards to install.php after restoring from backup

Our dedicated server suffered a corrupted hard drive. We were able to recover our data from a mirrored partition and reinstall our server software (nginx, mariadb, php, etc.), however when we load our forum URL:

http://www.studioleaks.info/forums/

It automatically forwards to:

http://www.studioleaks.info/install/install.php

It's as thought vBulletin doesn't recognize that it's installed. We have a number of modifications and custom templates on our site and would prefer not to reinstall. Any/all help would be appreciated.

Make sure your config.php file is pointing to the right database.

Is that the problem? Is the install.php prompt a result of it not being able to find the database? I've restored the database to the same location it was in on our previous install, created the same user and given it full privileges for the database. Is there some way to verify that mysql is running and connectible?

If the forum doesn't find the required tables for vBulletin to operate it will redirect to the installer.

So either your user or db is wrong, or the table prefix is incorrect.
