What version of mysql are you running?

    Just remove --all from it.

Changing "--all" to "--all-databases" doesn't seem to be working. Can anyone tell me how to get the vb_backup.sh script to work without giving an "ambiguous option" error?

    vb_backup.sh error: mysqldump ambiguous option

I recently upgraded MySQL and now the included vBulletin backup vb_backup.sh fails with this error:

    Code:
mysqldump: ambiguous option '--all' (all-databases, allow-keywords)
Is the fix as simple (?) as changing this line in vb_backup.sh from "--all" to use "--all-databases"?

    Code:
    $mysqldumpcmd -h$servername -u$dbusername $passwordinfo --add-drop-table --add-locks --all --extended-insert --quick --compress $dbname > $database
