PHP scripts for general update tools?

Are there some PHP scripts that can be run from the console for the "general update tools" in the control panel like there is a PHP upgrade script? My large forum will not run the general update tools without timing out. I was curious if there are some PHP console scripts that can be run to replace the functionality of the update tools in the admincp.

The only available option to run from command line is rebuild search index ( You should find it in do_not_upload/searchindex.php ), for the rest options you can reduce number of process per cycle to a smaller one.
