  • [Forum] Custom Forum Icons in Forumbit

    I would like to put a custom icon in each forum. I first considered replacing the status icons, but from reading other threads on that topic it seems overly complex to have different custom status icons for each forum. Is there an easy way to place a forum specific icon to the right of the status icon, and not have it get wiped out with each update?

    Not really complex to change the status icons per forum. In the Forum Manager you need to add a image prefix to the appropriate field and then upload the images to your images/statusicon directory. I noticed you have several other threads about this as well so if you found a solution let me know. If you need further help, follow up.

    If you include an image in the description with HTML you can do something like:
    <img class="forumimg" src="pathtoimg.png" /><p>Description here</p>

    Then in your additional.css template add:
    .forumimg {float: left;}

      Thanks.

      That looks too easy. I really appreciate the help. I am quite new at vB, which I assume is obvious. I have multiple posts because I also have also been trying to have custom usergroup icons in postbit, and I realized that I posted in the wrong forum at first, like most, I only read the stickies after I do things wrong. And the people I am working with are anxious to get everything done.

      I did a bunch of searching here and at vB.org and think I found enough info to work on the postbit icons.

      Thanks again.

        For custom Usergroup Icons, Look at User Ranks in your left hand navigation.

          Thanks again.

          I will check back if I get stumped.

            I have the icons up, and learned a bunch about the style editor along the way.

            I really appreciate all the help.

            Thanks.
