  • [CMS] How to install CMS in Root, Forums in subdirectory (post v4.03)

I can't remember since when, but prior to I think v4.05 or something, we had to use the following workaround to have the CMS at root and forums at /forums:

This involved the creation of 5 PHP files and placing them in root, as stated in the tutorial above.

Fast forward to the present, I remember in one of the versions, it was stated that the above procedure no longer needed to be done and we can effect the same result int eh AdminCP or something. Problem was that I didn't upgrade at that time so by now, I can't remember if what I reemmber is correct.

Just set up a new board with v4.1.5 and am wondering how best to do the above, do the 5 PHP files method or is there an updated newer and better method?

You can now do this from the AdminCP>Settings>Option>'Site Name / URL / Contact Details' here you can alter how it looks CMS in /cms or Forum in /forums. Read the instructions it will become clear.

I've had time to read the ? mark help in the admincp; seems like that is more for putting cms into a directory. What we want is to have cms in root. So points to CMS and goes to the forums. How can we achieve this in v4.1.5?

AdminCP>Settings>Option> but now look at Forum Component URL, CMS Component URL and Blog Component URL please read it carefully.
