  • [Forum] Unable to write to CSS files.

Recently my server host had switched to NGINX for their software. Since the change I am unable to save changes to my CSS templates. I get the following error: "Failed to write css files. Please make sure that the directory 'clientscript/vbulletin_css' is writable." The directory was set to 770, but trying 777 will not fix this issue. Any ideas?

    Hello,

Are you getting any errors in your error_log? (check folder owner/group permissions)
Also you can temporarily set AdminCP->Settings->Options->Style & Language Settings->Store CSS Stylesheets as Files?->No

Hello, I got in touch with my server host and he reset the folder privileges and it is able to write to the files again. This can be marked as resolved.
