  • [Forum] Thread Prefix Permiissions

Say you have a forum that requires threads to have a prefix. The forum has six prefixes: five that can only be used by Admins and Mods, and one that can be used by any user. If an Admin or Mod sets a prefix that only they can use on someone's thread, and then that regular member edits his thread title at a later time, what happens? Will they be required to set the prefix to the prefix that they're allowed to use?

That's what I would think. Easy enough to test of you have this set up this way already.

Tested it. For anyone who's wondering, if you edit a user's post to a prefix that their group doesn't have permission to use, when they edit their post after you they can use their prefixes or the one you just set the thread to that they normally can't use. However, if they edit their post back to a prefix that their group is allowed to use, the option for the prefix they're not allowed to use disappears if they edit the post again.

      Thanks for your help
