  • [Forum] Issue: Redirect Domain Whitelist

    Hello

    Just after i've installed the latest Patch, i'm getting the following error when there is a url redirect in any product ( like vba links directory and links and download manager )

    Click image for larger version

Name:	error.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	39.5 KB
ID:	3720954

    And i can't find this option in 'Site Name / URL / Contact Details > Redirect Domain Whitelist':

    Please note (for Advanced Users Only): These settings and configuration will not affect most vBulletin users. If you have created a custom domain configuration, you can define a domain “whitelist” in your Admin Control Panel. Go to AdminCP -> Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details -> “Redirect Domain Whitelist”.
    Any help would be great.
    Thank you

    I would suggest trying to add your own domain by default.

          In this specific case, I think the issue ends up on the modification author, but I'll check into it further.

            I have the same problem with any modification, not just vba links directory.
            Is that possible to downgrade the Patch ?

            Thank you.

              If you are missing the white list option you did not run the upgrade process to create the additional option. To "downgrade" the patch, you will need to re-upload the vBulletin (your version) non-patched files. Check the patch files to see which files were updated.

                Thanks for you reply, you r right i did not run the upgrade process correctly, now i can see the Redirect Domain Whitelist option, i'm running vbadvanced links directory on my forum and the problem is i will need to add all of that approved domain into Redirect Domain Whitelist !
                Is there any way to disable this option on this mod ?
                I'm sure that there is so many people who will get the same problem.
                Thank you.

                  We'll see if we can provide override switch to disable whitelisting for your use case.

                    Code:
                            if (!$foundurl)
                            {
                                eval(standard_error(fetch_error('invalid_redirect_url_x', $vbulletin->url)));
                            }
