I have posted this many times, if your forum language is English just set some questions that only they are likely to know, also write the questions in bad grammar so the bots cannot identify the words eg....

    Q whotisthe nameofthe streetwhere ,thePMresides

    A Downing

write several questions in a similar style, it will stop them.

I'm running many different mods to try and keep the spam to a minimum, but nothing helps. Should I just remove the accounts?

You cannot stop spammers by banning them !!!!! you will end up, depending on your Forum, with several thousand in the "Banned" usergroup and it will carry on ad infinitum.

  • Trying to ban spammers, but they are being shown as guests

When I try to ban users who are spamming they are now being displayed as.....
    Affected Users
The user(s) who posted the spam are:
    1. SOME_USERID HERE

    Affected IP Addresses
The IP addresses used to post the spam are:
    1. USERS IPADDRESS HERE

    Applying Punitive Action To

All selected users are guests, therefore no punitive actions can be applied.

Why can't I ban them for spamming?

Thanks for any help, it is appreciated!
