updated from 4.1.3 to 4.1.4

borbole - thanks but I have no idea how to edit templates and have never done so. I simply installed the vbulletin mobile style. You can see those "customisations" have been made to version 4.0.9 or 4.1.2 - I only just bought this and installed 4.1.3 as my first start for the forum. I believe any "customisation" is from vbulletin staff only.

I did hit 'revert' for all of those because I needed to reopen my forum and it had been closed for 5-6 hours already and folks were getting annoyed.

The mobile style now looks all strange and I have no idea how to fix that as I have no idea about changing templates.

Should I just reinstall the mobile style?

Well, the easiest way to have gone about it in my humble opinion would have been to have noted down the custom code that had been added at those templates and then readd them back after reverting them.

About the mobile style, I do not really know what to say as I do not use it myself. But try to reinstall it and see how that will go. If it won't help then you can open a ticket at your customer desk for one of the vb staff to look into it.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog, vB CMS and Skimlinks if you have them.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

What are you talking about? That has nothing to do with the OP issue.

To the OP, you must revert those templates manually as the upgrader failed to do so automatically mainly to them being edited with custom code.
