  • [Forum] Text Centered in IE

Just upgraded from 4.1.3 to 4.1.4 and now users with IE are seeing all text and forum topics centered. Problem is not occurring when using Firefox or Safari.

I believe I've run into this before on prior versions but could not find a solution in the search.

Custom style? Probably an unclosed tag.

Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

If you do, empty your browser cache, close all browser windows and try again.

If you do not have this problem with the original templates, then this means the problem is with one or more of your custom templates. You need to revert your templates, then redo your changes.

Created a new style with no parent style. Still has the same problem. Cleared browser cache, closed all windows. Still same problem.

      Disabled all plugins/products as well.

Can we get a link to see the issue? As already stated, it is most likely an unclosed tag.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I managed to get the centered text issue fixed, but after 2 days of proper alignment and positioning, now I'm encountering all kinds of new alignment errors.

Again, this is occurring primarily on Internet Explorer, but when I reply to a thread, all the previous replies are mashed together similarly as well when using Firefox. This is after all templates have been made up to date and reverted.

Do you have those same issues in a totally default browser? Have you tried running your page through and html validator?
