[Forum] Error with skimlinks upgrading to 4.1.4

We're upgrading from vb3.7 to vb 4.1.4 and we found an error whilst trying to upgrade with skimlinks, we disabled skimlinks are are now getting an error

Fatal error: The requested language does not exist, reset via tools.php. in [path]/includes/class_core.php on line 3861

We tried the tools.php but it hasn't help.

Does anyone know how we can sort this?

Try this. Reupload the original vbulletin-language.xml file to the install directory. Then upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Then reimport the vbulletin-language.xml file. Immediately remove tools.php when you are done.

Then run this in the Admin CP:

Admin CP -> Languages & Phrases -> Language Manager -> [Rebuild All Languages]

If you cannot log into the Admin CP then to disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

This will disable all hooks and should allow you to log in properly with no hooks running.

Yeah, we already have done that and it's still throwing up that error.

At this point I suggest you reupload the original 3.7 files and database (to a new db), then edit your config.php file to point to that db.

After that, disable all add-ons, then try the upgrade process again.
