    I use Gallery2 and have it not integrated with joomla, although I do have it so that logging into joomla logs into the gallery2 as well, and vbulletin too, each has its own separate database, but a common login. To do that you need jFusion which works well.

    Ok, beside photopost there is only (for vB4) photoplog.com, not recommended because it's not really supported. And Ultimate Media Gallery UMG (english available).

    What Gallery software is available besides PhotoPost I don't mind if I need to purchase it at all.
