  • [Forum] Stupid Question About Photo Album...

    It keeps telling me that a photo 2.89 MB is too large...

    How do I increase the size?

    Sorry about the dumb question.

    is it a vb message or a php message - if the latter then you can add/edit this to your php.ini

    Code:
    upload_max_filesize = 10M
    post_max_size = 10M
    if you can't get at your php then you may be able to add

    Code:
    php_value upload_max_filesize 10M
    php_value post_max_size 10M
    to your .htaccess in the root directory of your site.

    Better still, you could try making the file a bit smaller on your own pc first before you upload it at all - by decreasing it's dimensions in your favorite photo-editing software.

    Not a dumb question btw.

      Yeah, I tried both and it's still not working. The message is coming from VB.

        can you take a screenshot or post the exact message please? Size can mean dimensions or size in bytes.

        The only setting I can think of offhand is admincp>settings>options>message attachment options>Limit Space Taken Up By Attachments (Total)

          What do you have set here for that extension?

          Admin CP -> Attachments -> Attachment Manager -> Edit

            I'm using vBulletin 5.0.5. When uploading images to blog posts I see the message "Your file of xxxxxx bytes exceeds the limit of 100000".
