  • [CMS] mod_rewrite friendly URLs

We are currently using the mod re-write friendly URL system, and I've finally got it working the way I want.

However - when requesting content from the CMS, links are of the form:

    example.com/content/1-windows/
this is OK for some, but my CMS is for news and related articles therefore I would quite like to change my URLs to something like

    example.com/news/1-windows
I have noticed that this friendly request with "content" is actually hardcoded into the vbulletin system (i.e. links all point that way). Is there is a quick way to change the name of the php file content.php to say news.php and then have vbulletin use that file? then I could keep the same .htaccess file (albeit with a few changes)

Is this a question you guys can answer?

    Its not possible by default.

so vbulletin just doesn't make a provision for this? Is this worth putting in the JIRA as an issue?
