[Forum] Facebook "Like" shows, then later disappears. Why?

I just started a new topic on our forum, and clicked the Facebook "like" button. Someone else has also clicked "like" on Facebook.

Why is neither showing?

And why am I not seeing that I "liked" the thread on my Facebook profile?

So it seems I am the only person to have this issue.

Does registering using FB Connect work on your site? Does the 'Publish to Facebook' work correctly from threads/articles etc.?

Yes both of those work, but when I click like on an article or a forum topic it displays that I've liked the post. It even shows up on Facebook that I've liked it, but on the VB page it still says "be the first of your friends to like this."
