[Forum] FACEBOOK LIKE error 4.1.1 using VBseo

VB default Facebook Like error
guys i hope someone can help me but for some reason my default FB like button never had any issue connecting . now for some reason it doesnt connect sometimes it gives me this error message - The page at http://www.RighteousKings.com/showthread.php?t=6593 could not be reached
can anyone tell me why ? or how to fix

running 4.1.1 vb

Have you tried removing or disabling your add-ons, including vBSEO?

well i have tried disabling any new recent mod add ons since it last worked , and still nothing it wont work. however whats weird is that occasionally it does work on certain threads but thats like 1 out of 20 tries . i dont know what else to do as far as trouble shooting .

You need to remove or disable all add-ons, not just the new ones.

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

I have tried disabling all mods , i mean all. then i cleared cache and i have an untouched default skin that has no edits and still nothing .. the only thing i havent tried is uninstalling all the mods , cause that would be crazy . I mean just the other night i managed to actually like to of my threads and it worked without giving me an error. but as i said before 99% of the time it gives me the error The page at http://www.RighteousKings.com/showthread.php?t=833 could not be reached. . do i really have to go and uninstall all the mods ? also if i reupload all the update files wouldnt that over write all template edits to where i would have to do it all over again , disabling them all isnt good enough ?

thank you and sorry but i only have about 5 to 6 weeks of exp with this all , so me editing a config file , lol i would probably really screw things up and thank you for the link . imma look into it i just hope i can find a fix . this is getting harder for me by the day

no problem, and shutting all plugins isn't hard

Just add this at the top of your config file after <php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true); 

than you can quickly enable them by commenting that line our or removing it.

eg

//define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

wow lol you just made my life so much easier , for future trouble shooting lol that worked like a dream . however i still have th error . lol but i will keep looking thank you boss i sincerely appreciate it .anyway its just weird cause sometime & i do mean sometimes it will work . also it use to work fine before but i dont know what the hell happened . getting on GooGle now .

apparently this is an issue that many people have had in the past it seems that , there are certain pages/threads i can actually like with no error . but then theres others i can not and i get the error message . I cant seem to find a recent fix ? does anyone know anything about this ?

yes i did , still having the problem . ive done research but its all dating back to early 2010 , no recent issues of the same kind with a fix result , the story of my life . but i can as i said like some or certain threads just not all . i have no clue as to why ? im pulling my hair out here , running out of hair to pull

You are still running add-ons. I suggest you contact your host and ask then to check the server error logs for all communications with FB. The answer should be in the logs somewhere.

Im not sure this will help in helping me out but i just check my error log and this is what i find a long list of

btw i have no clue what that is
